The Johnson girls had a pool party and Marilee (Karyn's Oldest) and John's home.
They "went in" with a neighbor and one build the pool and one a great pool house with a huge room for entertaining. A great idea. Of course the food was soooo good and I really appreciated them inviting the "old aunts" Thanks Johnsons

RETURNING WITH HONOR
Max arrived at 2:35 Wednesday the 18th of August. He looked great and was wearing a cowboy hat to please the family.. He has had a great mission and learned and taught and I can't wait to hear him on Sunday the 22nd of August.
The family has gathered in Salt Lake City for a few days to share some family time with Max. We did miss Jill who is toooo close to having her baby to fly or drive. Candise "skyped" with her and we got to say hello...Helen and I had a fun time Wednesday and Thursday driving back and forth (we love our own bed)and visiting with the family and each other.

Brad and Tracy are surrounded by family, brothers, sisters, Philip and Amy, Matt, and Ben and Rachel. It is a bright spot in their lives. Being together as a family is wonderful support for them.. And spending time with their beautiful little grandchildren is a bright spot at this time.

I guess I really am not keeping up... I don't seem to have enough going on to blog about...
But today I am feeling up and down. I love Liz and am missing her... Yes I know she is in a wonderful place, but I didn't get enough time with her. There was a beautiful display at the funeral and viewing and I thought I'd share the pictures.. The BYU flew the flag at 1/2 mast, Her Daddy picked a casket of red and black her choice for what was to be her wedding. My mind tells me she's happy but my heart is still sad.

Panama Trip

Well I guess I am finally recovered... Long boat ride to see the Panama Canal but it was interesting... I took pic's of the boat in front of us so you could see how it works... First Stop in Miami and a little of the everglades and crocodiles. the on to Cartagena, Columbia visited Bocachica Castle a famous port for pirates (gold), Next the Panama canal and then on to our best stop at a school in Putarenas, Costa Rica where we saw some beautiful children and took some school supplies. Our tour sponsor sent some badly needed ceiling fans and they were very grateful.. Then to Guatemala and one of our favorite stops last time we were there a monastery converted to a 5 star hotel for lunch and time to shop...The visit to Huatulco,Mexico and Acapulco, Mexico was really uneventful except for the cliff divers. And the trip from Caba San Lucas to Todos Santsos to see the "Hotel California" was a disaster... 2 hour ride there and back and nothing but the "Magic" hotel and church...weird.. Fun class on ship "how to make towel animals... "

Emma's first dance program

I went to Emma's dance program at the High School and it was very fun. She looked beautiful of course. If the video works she is the one on the second row.. Her green shirt looks blue.. It's a little hard to find her but so was Waldo.. keep looking.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well the New Year was fun... At least old lady fun.... The "Movie Crew" went out to eat then watch a cute movie about the life of George Hamilton, played Apples to Apples and another little romantic comedy movie. Saw the "ball fall in Times square and in bed by 1:00....at least this time I remembered my camera.
